New content, new features and new format coming soon! The last week+ has allowed for little updates, but that will be changing over the next few weeks.

And be on the lookout for a new interview with the Ettes coming soon!

EXCLUSIVE Interview: Cory Branan

He’s been compared to Ryan Adams and Conor Oberst by Rolling Stone. His newest album has drawn rave reviews from Playboy and Blender. His influences range from Cole Porter to Mark Twain to Henry Miller to Strong Bad. And Lucero sang about him. here

Aisle Say Movies: Science of Sleep

Wow, I have had a habit of seeing movies lately that are directed by artists who have a resume of working with musicians. Michel Gondry like my other Aisle Say subjects is perhaps more well known. You may recognize his video work with Bjork, Beck, Kylie Minogue and Kanye West. The multi-layered director even plays drums on Kanye's "Diamonds From Sierra Leone" on his most recent album "Late Registration." here

EXCLUSIVE Interview: Midlake

In 2006, Midlake released The Trials of Van Occupanther, the band's second full length release on the Bella Union label. Formed in Denton, Texas at the University of North Texas, the band has crossed various musical landscapes in their seven years together. here

EXCLUSIVE Interview: 120 Days

One of the newest bands on the influential US label, Vice Recording, is 120 Days, a self-described Kraut-techno band from Norway. here

EXCLUSIVE Interview: KissKill Destroyer

During the past five years, KissKill Destroyer has evolved from an indie band (then known as the Jaded Set) playing around the Pacific Northwest to a dark wave/dance rock band based out of Baltimore. here

EXCLUSIVE Interview: The Decemberists

The Portland-based band the Decemberists released their fourth full-length album, The Crane Wife, on October 3, 2006. The highly-anticipated release marked the band’s first record with Capitol Records. here

Reviews: Die Maschinen in San Francisco

The night started out with Makita in the main room on the decks. His style is loud, fast; bang your mom kind of music. Very underground stuff that nobody’s usually heard of. My favorite, although nobody dances to it because god forbid someone would dance to a song that they’re not familiar with. here
